IIT Madras’s innovation on India’s first Standing Wheelchair – “ARISE” was featured in Rajya Sabha TV. There are innovations with the standing wheelchair abroad, but they come at a huge cost and are not affordable. With the aim to make an affordable wheelchair and make the lives of differently abled easier, the researchers at IIT Madras have developed “ARISE”, the standing wheelchair.
